    In March 2023, the President of Rowan College of South Jersey spoke to the Millville City Council about what he saw as the future of libraries.  They were inflammatory and derogatory comments about libraries as well as showed an outdated view of libraries (at 18:40 mark:

    This led to a joint statement from NJLA and NJASL about libraries and how they serve their communities.  

    NJ State Librarian, Jennifer Nelson wrote an op-ed piece on the comments made by Dr. Keating which was published on April 10, 2023 in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
